rachel grunge. (it's a pun on rachel green)

following a random urge to DIY something, I decided to fish my old primark jacket out of the 'give to the charity shop' pile and turn it into a cute, cropped jacket. The DIY itself wasn't the greatest (I have filmed it and it's waiting to go up on my youtube) but I had fun and hey! It turned out cute... right?!

I decided that it would go really well with my checked topshop skirt- affectionately named by me my 'rachel green' skirt ( although admittedly, to be a proper rachel green skirt it should be pleated).

I wanted to go for a cross between a grungy vibe and a more preppy school girl esque aesthetic- so out came the fishnets and doc martens ( which I find are a sure fire way of adding a bit of a punky vibe to any outfit).

The t shirt is a band shirt I picked up from one of my favourite gigs- car seat headrest. I wanted to tie it up as I've been trying to experiment with silhouettes more recently and also wanted a bit of above skirt fishnet action.

to top it all off I added a cute lil raspberry beret which tied in nicely with the colour of my docs, and dare I say added a certain je ne sais quoi!
